I wish I was one of those women who craved broccoli and brussel sprouts instead of tortilla chips and cheese sauce. But I've been thinking that maybe my intense craving for burritos isn't that bad. I could seriously eat a bean & cheese burrito for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Beans are good, right? They've got fiber, protein, etc. (at least I'm hoping refried beans do)
I also crave pickles- which is just a bunch of salt and grossness, but I pride myself in resisting the urge to eat an entire chocolate cake in one sitting.
Anyone feel the same? What are you craving? Are you rationalizing like me?

That theory won't work. When I was pregnant with my son the only thing I craved was green beans!! Fresh ones, not canned ones. I steamed them and ate them with butter. I went through a full pound every two days, I kid you not.
I also HATED meat. The only meat I could force down was chicken, no beef, no pork, nothing. I have no idea why.

I am 10 1/2 weeks and with this pregnancy I craved mexican (for the first time in my life) every day for a week... and then the morning sickness kicked in and I can't even stand the thought of it. I know what you mean, my brain wants lots of fresh fruits and veggies, but my stomach wants processed and carb-packed. Since the stomach is what sends me running to the bathroom, it wins.

for the first couple of weeks after I found out I was pregnant, I wanted nothing but salads, until a piece of avocado sent me running to the bathroom. Then it was fruits, especially bananas and peaches, then it was milk, if chocolate milk, even better, then pizza! I was a pizza junkie even before I was pregnant, so it just got worse now I want watermelon ice cream. My DH in the other hand, on the beginning got the craving for choco chips cake, something unthinkable for someone who doesn't even like chocolate!

Okay, that's just wrong. NOBODY should EVER want to crave brussel sprouts! I'd talk to the doctor about that if I were you.

With my son, I had some serious cravings for meat during my 1st trimester. The kicker was, I also had a serious aversion to meat during my 1st trimester. That was HORRIBLE! Steaks, burgers, etc. - I wanted them all, but any effort to eat them sent me running to the ladies room.

This time around, I can't get enough crunch, spicy stuff. I'm on a first name basis with the kids at the Taco Bell drive-thru. I woke up this morning wanting to try that cheesy crunchy Gordita-thing that H.Starr mentioned a few days back. Taco Bell should be open for breakfast! IMO, 5:30 AM is NOT too early for tacos.

Okay, I'm not even pregnant, and ever since I told you about that, I've been DYING for one.
Unfortunately I just put my husband on a diet, and I'm just not cruel enough to eat Taco Bell in front of him.
So I'm left to suffer instead.

Sure beans have lots of fiber, that's why they are the magical fruit, right? The only thing I ever craved was with my first and it was dark grape juice. I couldn't get enough and sent my husband to the store by our house for it every night and they would run out because he bought it all. The same ladies always worked behind the counter and would tease him. One time I went in and they knew I was his wife and asked me just how many babies I was having!

5:30 is the perfect time for tacos! Why aren't these places open 24 hrs? After reading that, I want that gordita, a bean burrito, and an orange julius. That would be heaven.
