Post Subject: bathtub advice
My daughter is almost 23 months old, and she's outgrowing the inflatable duck tub...I was wondering what parents of kids over 2 are using..?

Just a regular tub! No need to add more stuff to the mix. Although toys will become more important in persuading little ones to like baths.

Yup, same here. Been bathing my 2.5 yr old DD in the regular tub ever since she could sit up on her own. She loves the bath crayons, and we get her new little bath toys every few months to keep her interested. Keeps bath time fun and minimizes the fuss. Throw in some bubbles once in a while, use our removeable shower head to make it 'rainy' from time to time, and all is good!

A suctioned bath mat for sure; and a faucet cover.

Charlie just goes in the tub with all of his toys.

You're right, we do have to use two, because one is not long enough.

My kids just rip up the bathmats- if you have a slippery tub maybe try those stick um things? Our tub isn't too slick, so we get along just fine.

My dd has been bathing in the regular tub since she was a year old, the duck was harder to me. They just have so much more room to play in the big tub.

We went the tub route, too. Toys, bubbles, and those tablets that change the color of the water work wonders for getting little ones in the bath.
One thing I do NOT recommend though is bath crayons for one that small. Save those for slightly bigger kids - that is, unless you want to see their real crayon on your real walls.
In that case, I'd recommend going with a paint with at least a slight gloss (i.e., eggshell or semi-gloss) and invest in those Magic Eraser things.
