Post Subject: Anyone just feeling hopeless?
I told my husband today that I figured out a way that we could save money. He was very excited until I told him my idea. I would stop eating! That way I will loose the weight and we won't have to buy me food. Then he got really mad, but I wasn't joking...I'm almost considering it.
Anyone else gotten to this point?

Post Subject: Was just there
Seem like hopeless is making calls on three-way. It's an idea, but sure is not the best, cause the weight will just come right on back. Sooner rather than later. My baby is only 6 months. I've tried that, smoking, extreme exercise. But I swear I lost and gained 15 lbs at least twice already. So making a meal plan, and an exercise plan, and sticking to both, the weight will eventually come off. Getting started is the hardest part. You can do it!!!

I have been steadily losing weight since the birth of my son a year and a half ago...the best way to do it is to be as physical as possible (I don't mean a gym...dance with your baby, clean the house on high speed, run up and down the stairs of your house, park across the parking lot and walk into the store, etc.) and cut portions...but cut down on food SLOWLY. You can't feel deprived or it won't work. Cut a little bit out at a time...think to yourself "do I need a second helping of baked ziti or am I full?" Most likely you're full, and if you get over full you'll be disappointed in yourself AND uncomfortable to boot! Don't be so hard on yourself! You're a mother! You've produced and accomplished the most AMAZING thing! So what if we're not going to be super models?! Our husbands think we're gorgeous...now you have to see what everyone else sees, a wonderful, beautiful, strong and perfect mother.

Don't get discouraged girls! Childbirth is a huge thing to go through. It changes your body forever. Even if you get back to your prebaby weight, you won't look the same. Your hips are probably wider, thanks to that cute little one smiling up at you. I'm still 15 - 20 lbs, depending on the time of year, heavier than before I had kids. I'm cool with it, infact I think I look alot sexier now than before. I now have curves, and if it were the 40's I could be a pin up girl. Try to look at your new body in a positive way, it helps! Marilyn Monroe has nothing on me

I'm so there with you! We had our daughter (our third child) 7 months ago. I didn't gain a whole lot with the second and third pregnancies, but I gained a LOT with the first. The baby weight came off pretty quickly from #2 and #3, but I have a LONG way to go to get rid of the leftovers from #1. Plus, my stomach is so stretched out it just looks gross. I know my dh loves me and thinks I'm sexy, but honestly, I hate getting dressed every day. I look at my closet and think "What ill-fitting clothing should I wear today?" I can get into my pre-pregnancy jeans (the ones from before #3), but I have MAJOR muffin-top. The next size up are so big I can take them off without unfastening them. It just makes me want to cry. All I want is jeans that fit. Is that so much to ask?

It will come off just be patient. Stopping eating won't be good for you or your baby. Too weak to chase it around when it gets mobile. Actually, chasing around a baby will help take it off. You won't realize how many muscles and calories it takes to keep the baby out of things!! Good luck.
