Hello,
Most books say that teething "usually" starts around 3 or 4 months of age, but a lot of recent research has shown there to be great variation in just when milestones like this occur. That is, I don't think you should be shocked (or worried) if the teething stars up a little earlier, a few weeks before most kids.
I still remember my own two kids teething. It was always so frustrating to not be able to explain to them what was going on, or to just somehow make the pain go away. For a long time, whenever they had a fussy night, we assumed that a new tooth might be coming in. Often, it did not. It could be that your daughter is going through one of those fussy times that all babies do.
Let us know when that first tooth comes out!
Best regards,
Peter
