my son will be 3 in january
he has been at pre school now for a year and a half
the problem we have is that at nursery he will go to the bathroom regularly (prompted from the teachers there)
but when he is at home he will not go to the bathroom
he will poo in his pants and it will not seem to bother him
he will keep on playing as if nothing happened
when he is in pampers and they are soiled he is not concerned we will ask do you have poo in your pants and he will reluctantly say yes
he is coming of pampers now and he should have been off them long time ago
he will be going to kindergarten next year but this issue is a problem
any answers out there

Maybe you could try having him go to the bathroom every 1/2 hour at home. On the hour and half hour would be easiest to remember. Then he may get used to going at home too. After this working for a week or so, you may want to consider switching to regular underwear. Then he'll feel more like a big boy and will know for sure when he goes in his pants.
