I am new to this site.

My hubs and I adopted our son. We brought him home straight from the hospital when he was about a day and a half old and he is now six months. We went through a bad failed adoption prior to him with a little girl who we brought home straight from the hospital and we had her for a month before giving her back. We got our son two weeks after giving the little girl back.

I just found out from my sons birth mom that his half brother has just been diagnosed with autism. He is one and a half years old and because of the family situation I'm skeptical about the diagnosis but I don't know much about it.

Hi! I'm Amanda! SAHM to 4 beautiful little one all brought home from the hospital! We too had some bumps in our road! A twin failed placement at the beginning, and last year 1 taken after 3 days and 1 changed 3 hours after birth. We got our son 2 months after their return.

We have open adoptions and all of our children have other siblings still with their birth parents, all have older and younger with birth parents, (I should point out that our 3 oldest are bio first cousins, their birthmoms are sisters) With our youngest daughter, her oldest bio bro has some problems as well, but she is 2 and so far so good. I would personally take everything with a grain of salt! Congrats on your adoption!

Hey Amanda and "momwithaplan",

Congratulations on your adoptions. This is something that I really want to do probably in the next few months so it is good to see that it does happen, even with bumps on the road. But that's just normal.
Amanda, I had a look at your blog. It's great and the kids are totally gorgeous! They look so happy! How's Parker coping with all these girls around him? Is he majorly spoiled? :-)
Will definitely bookmark your blog. Good luck with everything!
