Vaccinations

I don't feel that there has really been any "new" diseases. The people that come here from Mexico or other countries are not bringing any new diseases with them, that is just not true. The reason that there are more vaccines now is because the medical pros. want to give you a shot for everything. They are experimenting and our children, including us are the subjects. Just a small example, the flu vaccine, how many people get that vaccine and still get the flu? Chicken pox just to name a few. These vaccines are not free and there is a lot of money to be made out there if you just have the right shot of medicine. There are too many side effects that they tell you of and I'm sure there are many more that they are not willing to tell you about. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Hey! I am a peds nurse and No the vaccinations DO NOT CAUSE autism! They are 100% safe!

and the vaccines do not prevent you from getting the disease or illness they make you less succectable to contracting it, and you must remember virus' "mutate" and change so the strand that is in the vaccine may not be strand of flu you or you child is exposed to please read and educate your self on vaccines .the office that your child sees will have a book or pamphlet for you to read, please read that before making the decision to not vaccinate.

While I won't go into my decision to vaccinate my child (to each his own) I do have to say that if it weren't for the vaccinations my daughter could have had some serious illness. While she did contract measles, rotovirus, and the flu, all of them were extremely mild cases from what I researched after her diagnosis. And trust me, mild is NOT the word that jumps to mind when I think of our experience with them. So, had it not been for her having the vaccine I hate to think of what she would have had to go through. The rotovirus hit her around the 9mo mark and it was very scary for us. The measles and the flu hit within a month of each other when she was 13mo. Those weren't as scary, but with a 105 temp they were still quite disconcerting. I can't even imagine if we had to battle polio or small pox just because we hadn't vaccinated. Again, I won't get into my decision to vaccinate, but I certainly would do it again and will do it again with my next one.

Don't know that anything is 100% safe these days, but I don't know how I would live with myself if my daughter contracted anything that could have been prevented with a vaccination.

Never have I heard that vaccines are 100% safe! If you visit a vaccine website, they would not even say anything like that, nothing is 100% safe. I am not trying to be argumenative with anyone but I must speak the truth regardless. I have actually had 1 of my four children vaccinated so I am not putting anyone down on there decision. He is the only one that has the most issues with his health, but overall I believe because he has a pretty good diet he is alot better off. To the peds nurse, I would love it if you would post the website that says that vaccines are 100% safe.

I have just a few questionss.
1. How do you get an un-vaccinated child into a school or foreign country?
2. What are the chances of a child who is not vaccinated of getting a disease that
we are pushed to vaccinate against?
3. What is the percentage of 2 year olds diagnosed with Autism that were not vaccinated, vs those 2 years olds who developed Autism after a vaccination.
4. What is the percentage of children diagnosed with Autism overall?

I guess my view on vaccinations is that I was vaccinated, and still continue to get most of the vaccinations that are available, such as HepB. My DD who is (4) is vaccinated, even for the Flu.

I feel that the diagnoses of Autism is just the new ADHD. All of a sudden a child is marked as being "Autistic". In order to make this diagnoses work for doctors, they have made all kinds of different "Spectrums" of this new found Autism. We are also seeing a decline in the diagnoses of ADHD in children. We drugged them for many years to "calm" them and make then "normal", now all of a sudden they are not ADHD, they are Autistic. Wait, I seen an even better one this morning on Discovery Health. A 3 year old who was Autistic and had ADHD.
I dont think that this Autism is the result of vaccinations. If it was, why are my sisters teenagers generation autistic free. They were vaccinated before the change in the vaccine. Autism is something new, its only something we have been recently hearing about.
** Was there any Autistic kids in your 10,11,12,13, 14 year olds classes. Bet not.

Oh wait, they were ADHD........and pop and sugar or sugar substitutes caused this

***** To each his own....PS::: My daughter, and (9) nieces and nephews are all vaccinated....non of them are autistic....all cousins/2nd cousins vaccinated and not autistic...Nobody in my family is Autistic and everyone is vaccinated

Experts from both sides debate the issue and provide rebuttals to the other side's argument. You should definitely check it out...a lot of really great information from BOTH sides.

My son got all his shots when he was a baby and they did something weird to him ever time he got a new one. As a baby he never babbled, hardly ever cried, slept all the time and it seemed like he always had the sniffles or a cold. He started to babble at one point and then he got his shots and stopped babbling. when my daughter was born we decided not to get her any of her shots and she is completly opposite of our son! shes one now and she has had one cold and has been talking forever! Im not sure what to think, I dont know if it was the shots or just him. I just think its weird!!

They don't mention that the other 50% of the children that got the measles, ACTUALLY WERE VACCINATED ...... Almost "all" of the people in this country with measles in their systems, got it from their vaccinations. Keep them away from my kids. It would be nice if we didn't have to stand on our heads to get "just" a measles vaccine, without the mumps and rubella shots rammed down our throats. Please ... keep your kids away from mine ........

Ped Nurse ... You are part of the medical community, worship the ground a doctor walks on ... do you think you have a "tiny" bias. I have a nephew ... perfect before his vaccines, really sick afterwards. How does a 101 - 104 fever for 6 months sound to you. Diagnosed with ASD, still trying to get him back.
