Okay, I had three babies in 2 1/2 years (yes, I know, it's like having triplets!). Here are my favs!
1. Any type of doorway jumper.
2. Any exersaucer! Keeps them busy for hours!
3. Swipers baby wipes-great for when they get out of the "baby" stage and have bigger messy diapers!
4. My Boppy pillow, love it!!!
5. Gerber (I think!) little bottles of juice-perfect for my diaper bag
6. Kathy Van Zeeland diaper bag-beautiful and trendy (they look like purses) with lots of pockets!
1) Quake Hold Safety straps from Home Depot – because you don’t have to screw into your furniture and baby proofing your house is key.
2) Thudguard Safety Helmet – because toddlers fall a lot and need head protection while learning to walk www.babysfirstheadgear.com
3) Little Tikes walking push toy – my toddler loves walking with this toy.
4) Elmo stand and play center – will keep my toddler busy for many hours.
5) Lakeshore flashcards for learning – my toddler loves flipping through the cards and learning early is important.
I have two daughters, one now 21 months and the other 3 years old. Some of my all-time favorite products are:
1) The Boppy! I used the boppy over and over again for both of my girls and not just for nursing. They're perfect for tummy time and to help them to sit up.
2) The baby Bjorn - loved this to free up my hands, especially when my second daughter came along
3) The Fisher-Price Aquarium bouncer: both of my kids loved this and it helped me out so much to keep them calm, happy and entertained.
3) Graco pack 'n Play: We still bring it with us on road trips!
And finally, for a great place to get deals on all sorts of baby gear, etc, check out:
I received so many great things for my daughter when she was born. I think we all get a ton of clothes from everyone, unfortunately, some things just never fit. Well, I found some really great clothing items, that I loved!
1. Layette Gowns w/ matching recieving blankets: By Little English---you can find them in your local boutique or on their website at http:www.littleenglish.com.
2. For pictures: hand smoked gowns & bubbles by Little English as well.
I received a lot of their items as gifts from friends and family. They are soft and the quality is great! Anything made with velvety soft pima cotton is surely a hit for me.
Wow, I wish I enjoyed the budget required for some of this stuff...however, my list goes...
Boppy pillow-great for that 9 lb. newborn baby.
Exersaucer-Keeps her busy when I'm trying to cook dinner or clean up.
A portable swing. We had a Fisher Price deal, it folded up for storage but was small enough to fit in my bathroom so I could shower as she swung...between the design on the shower curtain and the white noise of the water, it put her out.
Gerber onesie extenders. We started out in 0-3 as a newborn and she was in 6-9 at 5 months. And even though they didn't exactly fit other brands, I made it work.
A pack and play with the changing table feature. We have two floors, all bedrooms upstairs. There was no way I was trucking her upstairs to get her changed. It came with a set of compartments for all the stuff, a bassinet, noise maker and a mobile, so it was also our nap spot downstairs.
And as I remark on the budget required...I was fortunate to have awesome people who gave and gave and gave...or let me borrow. 95% of the gear we have came through gifts.
Gerber onsie extenders, especially if you have long/big kid.
Portable swing. Our fisher price battery operated swing allowed me to shower in her first two months, b/c I put in the bathroom and it rocked her to sleep, or kept her entertained watching the pattern on the shower curtain and listening to the white noise of the water.
If breast feeding had been successful, I would have thrived on the Medela Pump-in Style portable pump. Made me feel a bit like a cow, but I could read or fold clothes while I sat there.
A bath seat. I think they call it a bath ring. She's been in it since she could sit up and she was too long for the traditional infant tub. It keeps my daughter off the floor of my not-always-clean bathtub and holds her up. It has suction cups on the bottom to help avoid tipping. Ours was handed down from my aunt, but here's a picture of a more recent version... http://www.babyant.com/bh012043.html
Exersaucer. She would sit in it for extended periods of time allowing me to clean, cook, or get other things done outside of the room. And she loves to bounce now.
Books, books and books. Signed up for the Imagination Library (I think it's nationwide) and we've received books in the mail each month all year. She has a bigger library than I have.
Baby mirror for the car. Faces your rearview mirror so you can see the baby in a rear-facing seat.
I didn't warm my daughter's bottles, but my cousins took them that way and my aunt wore out a bottle warmer for the car that plugs into the cigarette lighter.
So simple but yet ingenious!!!!!!!
Finally a cap that stays on kids' heads during active play in, out and even under the water!!!!
Stylish and comfortable, my active 5 year old loves to wear it!!!!!!!
Its perfect for days at the beach, waterparks and splash pads...it dries so quickly!
A perfect solution to protect his head from the sun all summer...even while at Wonderland...he can wear it while in the amusement park, and continue to wear it while in the waterpark!
