    Default Urgent Care Or No?

Takeo seems to be having an ear infection to me but I have read that if they are teething that some kids grab their ears as well. I'm not too sure which one it is.

I as a baby had tons of infections. I had to have tubes put in my ears. My brother as well had them.

Takeo isn't really grabbing his ear, but his right hand is always near the ear.. Most of the time right behind it. I know his coordination isn't the greatest either. His cheeks are also a little red, and since he has been born he hasn't had any blemishes.

I don't know if that is what it is either.. It could be baby acne? He has never had it so I don't really know what I'm looking for.

He is a little whiny, but that could also be from teeth.

He isn't finishing his bottles either. Leaves about an ounce or a little more left over.

Is this teething or an ear infection? Should I bring him to Urgent Care since his doctor is only open on Wed, Thurs, Fri? He's been doing this for maybe 4 days? I didn't even think about it until now. I thought it was just a normal thing for babies to do. Then I noticed the cheeks yesterday night.

I would take him. It can't hurt.
If it turns out nothing is wrong, okay good, then at least you know. No harm done, and you're not worrying anymore.
And if it is an ear infection, then they can give you antibiotics.

You can call your doctors office and talk to a nurse. Ask if they can recommend an over the counter med first. I do this alot. Saves money. I feel comfortable calling in because we have had the same dr. for all 3 kids and have never switched.
