Hey moms and dads.
It seems to me that the plastic covering over the crib mattress doesn't get warmed up even long after the baby's body in contact with it.
Unlike our mattress, there is no cotton or fabric lining on the top.
Babies sleep on a cold bed. I feel sad. :-(

(Especially in winters)

I see that there are bed protectors made of fabric or some sort of filling. I think that will keep the bed warm.

I used to layer a thick blanket or the baby comforter on top of the matteress beneath the fitted crib sheet. This kept my boy warm through the harsh winter days.
He slept well when his bed was warm.

Also, just fleece night suit didnt keep him warm. I used to dress him with 2 more layers (like a snug night suit) under his fleece.
I also learnt that kids slept well and for long hours, when kept warm.

I hope this was useful to some of you.

Happy motherhood
