    Default humidifiers! Hot or cold?

Which is better? The hot mist or the cold mist? I'm in the market for a new one.

I like cold, because I think cold air is always easier to breathe than warm air.

Supposedly, the warm mist ones are more prone to mold and mildew. That being said, I've had both, and I never had a problem with molding in a warm-mist humidifier.

I prefer cold-mist myself, but I can't really give you a hard reason why. Maybe I find it easier to breathe cold air, too?

If it's going to be in a child's room, it should be cold mist to prevent burns.

Cold mist can be put closer to a child with a stuffy nose without the fear of burning.
