Default Best high chair to use?

My son is 7 months old, but very small because he was a preemie (about 13 pounds now). We are looking into high chairs to use with him while he eats his baby food, but are not sure which one might work best. Everything we've seen seemed to have its pluses and minuses, and we are confused! I just don't want to spend money on something else that we won't end up using! Which high chairs did you all like?

For both our kids we used the kind that straps to a chair. We really liked the first years one they sell at target for around $25. It has three different inclines and an easy to use tray. This kind of high chair is great for travel and also to use as a booster once they are ready.

We also used the kind that straps to the chair for both babies. We used the First Years one at first, but had to switch with my son because it only has a lap belt and he kept standing up! The one we have now is Graco - I think - and it has the lap belt as well as the shoulder harness. It also has a cushier seat pad, reclines as well, and a button in front so you can take the tray off with one hand. That comes in really handy when you're holding the baby with the other hand. The tray is dishwasher safe, but doesn't fit in our dishwasher.

I love our Chicco highchair ~$150-200). We'll be able to use it as the years pass by. It reclines if he falls asleep, that way he can be comfortable. It has wheels so it's easy to maneuver and it folds up to stow away. Or try a Bumbo Booster seat (~$50),if he's able to sit up on his own, it's fabulous! You can take it with you whever you go and the baby can't get out of it...it's totally secure.
    Good luck!

Okay - I checked. Mine is a Fisher Price, not a Graco.

The biggest question is how well is he sitting up on his own? If he's sitting well even assisted, that's good, any high chair will work, it just moves us to a different matter... his length.
High chairs are made to be used until the child is pretty old. So their big. My son is above average (90th percentile!) in length and he still looks so tiny in his high chair. If he's smaller than average, for his adjusted age, I would recommend going with something like the Bumbo (don't buy it new, waste of money. You probably won't be using it that long) or a high chair that specifically is made for smaller babies, like the kind that straps to a chair that others recommended. I know Bumbos have a tray you can buy as well to attach to it. Then save the regular old high chair for later when he's longer.

We use the Chicco Polly high chair. Its sturdy, secure and well designed. It may be a little heavier than some alternatives but it has casters on the rear legs that can be locked into position, so moving around with your one free hand is easy.

It is really good high chair that will last a long time. After a lot of research we bought one and we love it.
