Question Excessive drooling after teething is ove

Has anyone seen a 2 1/2 yr old that excessively drools. He has his teeth so I don't think that is the issue. Anything I should be aware of?

nothing to worry about my 3rd oldest who is 3 didn't stop drooling till was like 2 1/2 the same age as your child i took him to his doctor and he said oh it's nothing it should stop by age 3 or so if not come back and see me so we went home and by 3 he was done with his drooling and i doubt that he was a sore throat or that his throat is closed up but if he is eatting and drinking normally then his throat isn't closed up and it's porbably just a sore throat look at his throat with a flash light and tell him to open his mouth wide and look to see it's his throat is red i did that with my 3rd oldest who won't open his mouth for anything besides food so i showed him that the doctor isn't going to gag him by doing that so i said to the doctor i said "why don't you do it to me to show my 2 1/2 year old that you mean no harm" and he said to me "open your mouth wide" and i did and he did it showing him that he means no harm to him or to me so the doctor tried it on him and said "open your mouth for the doctor please" my child did finally open his mouth and it was over in 5 minutes of the doctor doing it to him but i did it to him when we got home from the doctor's office and he was a happy and healthy no throat was closed or a red throat

My son was a huge drooler until he was about three. I think it was peer pressure when he started preschool that finally helped him get things under control
