I really hope i don't go into labor the day of or day before Christmas!!!!! If I do I guess it would be a blessing since we have tried to get pregnant for 3 years!
I'm super sick all the time! Nothing I try for the nausea is working! It's kinda hard to be way happy when ur throwing up every time u smell something or move to fast!!
Hello fellow December 2009 mommy! I am due December 19th. I also had "morning sickness" but never did throw up. I agree, certain smells and just thinking about certain foods makes me gag! I'm in week 13, so it's better now, I'm just nautious in the morning before I eat and the rest of the day isn't too bad. So keep your chin up, it will get better. Unsalted saltines worked for me.
My husband and I have tried for 3 1/2 years to get pregnant and finally had to resort to IVF. It was spendy, but there are many good options out there and we made it work. We only have 1 embryo put in because I didn't think I could handle twins and we have 1 healthy baby right now. We've been so lucky to have ultrasound every 2 weeks since we found out we were pregnant because they want to make sure everything is developing properly. Now my next appointment with OB isn't until July 21st. I'm going to go through withdrawals not seeing my baby! But hopefully by then I'll start to feel it move so that will be reassuring.
Take care and I hope your sickness goes away soon.
Congrats on a December baby. I'm due Dec 15th. I'm at 19 weeks and still feeling nauseous. I have gained 5 pounds since conception but the doctor said that's okay. It's so good to know other women have had this problem because it seems like everyone I have spoken to is having a "darling" pregnancy!
thanks everyone for the congrats! Now that the nausea has gone away I noticed my mood swings r anything but good! I have to force myself to stay calm and i'm usually the calm mellow one. I can't believe that we wanted this baby so bad and now i'm having every side effect possible LOL (still excited though) With my first one I barley felt like I was pregnant other than the giant mass in my belly! with this one (we planned) everything that could change has! I thought it was a girl cause it is so different but we found out it is a healthy boy! My son is so excited!!!!
Hello Everyone congratsd and Good luck on you December babies!!! I am due December 17th, 2009 ....Right now i am so scared because i just found out i have a 1/110 chance of giving birth to a baby with down syndrome....Thats usually a stat they give to 40 year old women not 21 year olds.....So wish me luck
I am also due December - the 20th - I am also getting over the sickness - I still have moments - I have only gained 2 lbs and I am at week 20 - the Dr. is okay with this since I measure okay and the ultrasound was good. I am hoping to go either before or the day after my due date since I also have a 17 month old that was sick with the flu on his first X-Mas. I also have a lot of work to do before Thanksgiving because I know I will not want to be in the shopping malls after that. Lots of luck to all who are sharing the Christmas joy.
Congrats on a December due date!! My son was born Christmas Eve of last year. My actual due date was Christmas day! At first I thought I wouldn't like a Christmas Eve baby, but I have grown to love the thought of it! I feel like I got an extra special Christmas gift!! If yours is born on Christmas eve, just remember how special that will be!!!
I'm sorry to hear about the bad news, but I read that it is best to not have those tests done because it's a 50/50 chance the results r even accurate!!! My sis. just had a beautiful healthy (normal) baby girl and they said she had a 95% chance the baby would have down syndrome because of the tests & the umbilical cord only had 2 arteries supplying blood and oxygen and a normal pregnancy has 3. She was put on stress tests and sent to a specialist to prepare her for the worst and the baby is fine happy and healthy! So don't get to bummed out, u never know until the day they arrive!!!!!!!!!!! I wish u the best of LUCK!
