    Default Yay Disney!

So this will be my daughters first time on Memorial Day weekend. We will be going to a few parks and a water park too. Abigail is 18 months. Have any of you guys taken your babies at such a young age? I want some tips, and tell me something you will never do that you did lol.

You are going to Disney? Hooray!
Bring swim diapers because most water parks prefer them.
They should have life jackets available, but check before hand.
Water proof shoes help their little feet from getting raw on all that concrete.
    Sneak the snacks in. haha
I prefer the giant "chapstick" like version of sunscreen because it does not run into their eyes.
Bring cash or quarters for lockers.
    Have fun!

You suck! lol Just kidding, I hope yall have a great time! I love disney world! I used go every year but havent been in 2 years! Last year a week before we were supposed to go Gustav hit & we had a good bit of damage plus evacuating costs so we had to cancel! I was so sad! Im hoping maybe next year we can go!! Im sure Abigal will have a wonderful time. Remember to bring her stroller for sure and of course, a hat, sun glasses, sun screen! And definitely bring snacks and drinks in your bag, its gonna be hot!

Just remembered......I would wet my daughter's t-shirt and hair to cool off when we were riding the rides in the hot sun. How about one of those fans that mist....ahhhhh!

Awesome tips girls! Freckles, I've never seen the sun screen stick, sounds like a wonderful idea though, now I just have to do a search for it lol.

My advice would be to try to plan out your days so that you aren't spending ALL day running from place to place. My DH and I were there this past August and I can't tell you how many people we saw either carrying babies or pushing around strollers with babies who were passed out unconscious or having complete breakdowns because they had been in the parks too long. The desire to "get your money's worth" or to "not miss anything," seems to overshadow how much their children could actually handle...and because of it we saw LOTS of temper tantrums and meltdowns.

The best advice I got from friends who go every year with their kids is to go to the parks early when things are cooler and less crowded...leave at lunch time, go back to your hotel and have a nice, "normal" lunch and a nap...maybe some play time at the pool...and then, in the afternoon when things have cooled off again and people are going back to their hotels to get ready for dinner, nap after spending all day in the park, etc...you can go back to the parks for more fun and maybe dinner in the park...

I just bought one - I have seen them every where I got mine from babies r us ( probably paid way too much) I saw them at walmart too though!

Don't forget YOUR CAMERA!!!! Take lots of cheesy pics with her and as many of the characters as you can - they make great scapbook pics. I know its a must but its also the easiest thing to forget. We're going in October. Plus we're probably driving from jersey to florida so I'll be on here asking for similar advice plus road trip advice.

    Have fun!!!!!
