    Default walking problem

My son is 1 year old. He's been walking a lot without support. On Monday when we woke up, he suddenly couldn't stand. As the day progressed he could take a couple steps before falling. At first we thought maybe it was a twisted ankle or something, but he doesn't seem to be having any pain at all. Yesterday and today he's been walking a lot more, but he's veering all over like he's dizzy or something. The left ankle seemed slightly, very slightly, swollen. Any ideas...?

I'd appreciate any advice on this problem.

It could be a twisted ankle, but I wouldn't rule out an ear infection. I would definately call his pediatrition. An inner ear infection will cause dizziness, and troulbe walking. Especially in new walkers. Even if your little guy's ears don't seem to bothering him; it could still be an ear problem.

Cay, thank you! I think you may be right. We have an appointment with the pediatrician next week. It's just such a scary thing to wake up one morning and find your little walker can't walk anymore!
