Bad Boy?

Recently when correcting my 5 yo son he has been saying "I'm a bad boy" in response. I'm not sure where he got this from, as we (his parents) have never told him he is a bad boy and neither has anybody else to our knowledge.

Example: If either of us tell him he needs to take care of his toys, he'll say "I'm a bad boy". Or the other day when giving him a bath I asked him to cooperate with me in getting his hair washed and even then he said "I'm a bad boy".

Anyone else seen this type of behavior/response in a 5 year old?

Does he go to school or daycare? Perhaps someone there told him he is a bad boy. I would tell him all the good things he does that make him a good boy. Praise him highly when he does something good, and tell him he's a good boy.
