    Question Favorite kid-friendly DVD?

Gobs of snow landed in our area yesterday, which meant kids stayed home from school and parents paddled madly to try to keep ‘em entertained. All of which made us wonder: What are your absolute, can’t miss, pull-out-in-a-pinch DVDs? In the Parenting offices, the list includes everything from classics like “Charlotte’s Web” to nature films like “March of the Penguins” to the eerily beautiful “Howl’s Moving Castle.” (If you haven’t checked that one out, it’s worth it.)

But we know we’ve overlooked some, so let us know: What films really turn your kid’s crank?

My daughter absolutely loves the movie Tinkerbell. She dances around and pretends that she is one of the fairies. She is also a huge fan of the kids show Hi-5. There is a lot of singing and dancing and she has really learned quite a bit from the show.

My son is only 8 months old, so the only thing that really interests him is music. A favorite in our house is VeggieTales - The Complete Silly Song Collection.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and she loves any movie that is a musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Annie are her favorite. She also loves the Wizard of Oz and Pippi Longstocking. Another favorite thing of hers is to watch dog shows, or horse races, because she loves both of those animals. She has to watch her Scooby Doo classic cartoons (the ones made in the 70's or 80's) before she goes to bed.

Roll Call! Mo? Sleeping Beauty. Tuck? All things Bob the Builder. Munch? Madagascar. Mommy? Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea. Hey! The kids aren't the only ones who are stuck inside and nap time happens!

No snow here in Ohio as of today...thank goodness. But it is sure cold outside! Which also keeps my kiddos inside...and we are big movie people in this house. My kids are 10, 8 and 6. We usually like to watch Cars, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Pirates of the Carribean (all 3), Harry Potter (all), and lots of others. Again, we love watching movies...and just recently signed up for Netflix to stream through the Xbox 360, AWESOME! :-)

My girls and I love Madagascar 1 and 2. Good music, and funny for parents as well.

My daughter loves the movie cars; she also loves Elmo’s potty time. Or anything with lots of color and that doesn’t moves slowly. Some movies just move to slow and can’t keep the attain of a little kid, I know I would fall asleep if they move to slow.

My son is 2 1/2 so keeping him entertained when its yucky outside is a challenge, especially since he is super active. All things John Deere, such as "John Deere for kids" and "Mickey's clubhouse" are favorites but since I started going to school twice a week at night, CJ and Daddy have been watching "cars" (AKA 'race cars') and let me tell you it's become an obsession! I have never seen anything captivate his attention, scary!

Did anyone see the chihuahua movie? My kids go nuts over dogs, and I'm wondering if this is a good one for little kids.
