I have a wonderful 4-year-old daughter that, despite all kinds of effort, "dribbles" on herself all day long. It's rarely a full blown accident. She typically tinkles small amounts all day long and by the time she gets home, the smell is strong and her poor skin is red and irritated.

We have had her bladder checked (after a bad urinary track infection) and it's normal. She's is completely potty trained (not at night, but we're taking that slowly) and is encouraged at home and in pre-school to go often. I know she gets busy and forgets or doesn't feel like going (I don't always feel like stopping what I'm doing, either). However, it's an every day problem and her school is tired of having to change her all the time. They are asking if we could put her in a daytime Pull-Up. I definitely don't want to do that (what an ego blow for a big girl!), but I can understand why they would rather not deal with changing my child twice a day every day.

We have even gone as far to take her to therapy just to make sure there wasn't an underlying problem. I learned how to make bedtime easier and how to have more fun playing, but no answers in the potty department.

I've asked the pre-school owner if this is normal and she says it is and not to worry about it. But she spends all day smelling bad (even after changing, it lingers all over her skin) and has irritated skin all over her thighs. I do worry about it. Are there other mommies who have dealt with this? Does anyone have any pointers on how we can get over our potty problems? Would night-time training help?
