Hi everyone! I am 29 and a mother of 2 from Chicago. I will tell you alot about myself all at once so everyone just starts to know who I am and what I'm all about. I am currently living with their father, we are yet to get married, but that's just a technicality we will clear up soon. I have a 3 year old beautiful boy and a 19 month old daughter and I had my son when I was 25 and my daughte when I was 27. I kind of want more, and kind of don't. I'm not really gushy with babies, I like them when they are toddlers I don't know I just think its better when they can talk and play.
I never breastfed. Not a drop. My kids are both healthy and completely bonded with me. Just not for me, its a long story, but this is how it worked out and I don't have a problem with others breastfeeding even though it gives me the jeebes, whatever the babies hungry so just do the damn thang I don't care.
I think that being a "younger" mom is great. I mean I wasn't completely ready, but you get it together pretty fast. If you have a baby later in your life, more power to ya, that's great, just for me I think that I needed to just get it done and over with while my body was ready and sending me signs that I was ready.
I think that having babies close in age is the only way to go. This is hilarious! you should see my kids they are so funny together its a great relationship, i mean they fight a little but its usually fine. Now that they play together, I have much more free time to go on the computer on websites just like this so I can find out what I'm doing wrong and right as a mom.
I have friends and cousins that all have babies so we are kind of a little village, and that's the way it has to be. You need support, no woman is an island.
My BF helps as much and as little as he is asked. I don't complain anymore, I've seen worse from other dads. He's a keeper!
Confession of the day, I gave my kids candycanes for breakfast (that wasn't all i put in front of them) but that was all they ate and I didn't care. I can't win every battle, so I let stuff slide alot.
That's about it. I will post alot, I got a lot of opinions, and I'm a total nightowl, and I'm always nice and never mean, and i will only talk if I can offer something helpful (which is always in my mind) so looking forward to meeting you all, take care, keep it real, etc.
