Default High Chair / Shopping Cart Covers

I have been looking at this really cute shopping cart cover (http://www.patriciaanndesigns.com/st...ver-14p146.htm) for my little one who is just coming out of his carrier. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on these? They seem like a great idea but they also look like they may be more trouble then their worth? Anyone have suggestions?

I have one and LOVE it. Sure, it's a small hassle to carry it with you to put in the cart or high chair, but it's totally worth it to me. I hate the thought of my baby putting his hands on a cart and then into his mouth, especially during flu season. (Think about how many people use public restrooms and never wash their hands. YUK!) This past Sunday, we went out to eat lunch and the high chair there was FILTHY. Not a problem when you have the cover.

I've also noticed that the straps in carts are sometimes really nasty. My cover has it's own strap too, so I never have to use the gross straps in the cart.

They looked like too much bulk for me to carry (esp with twins) So I carry around a tube of Clorox wipes where the bottles used to go in my diaper bag. I sanitize the surface, then plop them in!
(although I still get dirty looks from mothers with those things- thinking I'm exposing my kids to all the scary stuff on 20/20) LOL

My SIL worked for a local grocery chain and she said the shopping carts are NEVER cleaned. Our DD is fascinated with straps and buckles and anything else right up in her face, like the 3 year old gum that some other kid stuck on the cart in arms reach. Yeah, we use a shopping cart cover!

They do sit out in the rain, the cold and the hot. So I can't imagine they are all THAT bad.

We also sell shopping cart covers at www.tresstina.com, there is a great variety of styles and if you use the code Grand10 you can get a 10% discount.
