Cool I feel empty for some reason!!

I feel like I'm not producing enough, I went back to work part time and I feel as if my body is not producing enough milk to leave with my husband to feed my daughter and I'm not too fond of formula. How do I get this problem under control, I usually wake up engorged and I havent' for a really long time. What is wrong with me??

Try pumping to see exactly how much milk you have. If you don't have enough, then you'll have to just pump or put your baby to the breast frequently in the next few days to increase your supply. You may have to pump or put baby to breast every 2 hours in the next few days if that's what it takes.

she eats from me all day until about 4 in the afternoon, I eat a lot but I'm not drinking enough water i bet, could that be the problem too, I basically only pump when i get engorged so you think if i do pump more often then it will bring it back in possibly. i hope this works I'm starting to get stressed out, if i have a "drink" it also helps my milk come in for some resaon i thought alcohol was supposed to slow down your supply!!

Breastfeeding is a supply and demand system - the more often you breastfeed, the more milk your body will produce. If you want to increase your supply, you'll need to feed your daughter more often (or if you have a breastpump, pump between her feedings). After a few days, your body will increase your supply. I was also very engorded right when my daughter was born but as her feedings became more scheduled, the engorgement went away. Good luck!

like a previous post stated, bfing is supply & demand and it could just be that your body is only producing what you need (the idea is NOT to be engorged ) check with a lactation consultant to be sure, but it's probably just your body doing it's efficient best
