    Question Toe In Issue

I have a 16 month old daughter who has a huge toe in issue when she walks. She is also bolegged. The doctor says it will correct itself but my daycare provider says it is starting to be an issue when she is running. Does anyone have ideas as to how to fix this or will I have to gets those leg strap things.

    Please help

My doctor said they don't address things like that until the kid is 2 or 3. I find that dissatisfying. My daughter's case was certainly not as severe as your daughter's because it doesn't seem to be interfering with her motoring around. How long has she been walking? The reason he gave was that the bones straighten and grow (as do the muscles) after kids start walking. They want to give ample time for the body to work itself out before they start with corrective measures. I wonder if you could consult with the physical therapist just to make sure your concerns are addressed....

She has been walking since she was about 11 1/2 months on her own since she was 12 months. When she is walking it does not interfere too badly , but when she runs they sometimes get in the way. My doctor has said she will not address it till later which bugs me, but nothing I can really do about it till they say otherwise. Just thought maybe someone has had this issue and hsa an odd wise tale to fix it
