    Default Avent Bottles: Recalled?????

I am expecting my 2nd child in January. I was returning some of the items from my baby shower this week and the lady at the service desk said that the bottles were recalled. I just got them in November. I am planning to BF my DD but I am returning to work, so will be pumping. Anyone know where I can find a list of recalls for this product? I want to make sure the bottles I have remaining are safe. I checked the Avent website and google but didnt find anything. Any advice or links you know of?

I have never tried it before.. but I would try to go on like the FDA website or whoever recalls this kind of stuff & see if they have a link or call the number on Avent's website & ask if they know where you can go or call. I am sure they have people calling them when their stuff gets recalled. Like I said just a few ideas..Good Luck!!!

I went on that website and saw all the info about BPA but nothing about Avent specifically. Can you tell us where to find the Avent information. I'm not using them because of BPA. We are using Dr. Browns glass bottles. But my SIL uses the Avent.

scroll down and click "Phillips' Avent's Position on BPA"

There are also some FAQs. One of them states that Avent has not recalled bottles. So you may just have some mis-information. You can buy BPA-free ones, but they aren't recalling the old ones.

    Thanks ladies.
The bottles I returned were a recent purchase and they already stated that they were BPA Free, although I was never concerned about the BPA as the newer information released stated that the BPA recall wasnt necessary.

Im not sure why these were recalled, and I still dont see any information on a recent recall on the bottles. I guess I will just take them all back and purchase new ones, just to be on the safe side. Hopefully they have removed all the recalled bottles off the shelves at Babies R Us for the Avent line.
