Since the kids and I are off of school this week, we decide to tour local museums discovering the rich history of our city. This is a fun inexpensive way to learn about where we live and the history surrounding us. My kids enjoy learning and asking questions about the past. This is a great educational tool that we use to impress the importance of learning our culture to our children.

Today we visited the Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum. My 7-year old really enjoyed seeing the old fire trucks and wanted to ride on the back. As soon we got home, he couldn’t wait to dress up and pretend to be a fire fighter. I was a very good learning experience for my boys and it is definitely somewhere we would go back to.
