    Default Paying for Good Grades

Hi, my name is Erin O'Connor

I have been doing research in school about different types of motivation. I've learned that paying for good grades in school can actually have negative effects to children.

I have made a handbill for everyone to see about the topic!

    Thanks!

I love the little Handbill. It is so organized and cute! Plus the studies you mentioned in it are very interesting. I never new that giving a reward could actually have a bad outcome. Thanks for teaching me something new Erin!

I actually agree with paying kids for good grades. I mean if it gets them to do the work they are supposed to do then why not just use it? It's like an incentive.

I created a "Success Ladder" (using a clipart image of a ladder) and when my son
received good grades or went above and beyond, I highlighted a step on the ladder. He
would simply light up with joy. When the ladder was completed, I rewarded him with a
"special" toy for his hard work and motivation. "I believe our children not only need to be

How do you keep track of how much money kid should receive for good grades and good behaviour?
