My little boy is 28 months old and is very whiny and mopy. Most of the time he is happy and silly, but the littlest thing will ruin his day it seems. We go to church and storytime every week, and I have not met a whinier baby. (Don't get me wrong, I absulutly adore him!) He is great at sharing and a lot of things, but if someone talks to him, whether he knows them or not, he will groan and pout to the point on the edge of a temper tandrum. We brought him to church since he was a newborn, and there hasn't been a church session we haven't had to bring him out (and it is just an hour) while other kids, along with his sister (5 months old) will sit there quietly. At storytime he won't join in and sit with the other kids. He will just sit next to me and pout. And if you say anything to him, he will start whining. I feel so bad, because it is to the point that today during storytime, everybody got a toy, but him, because they didn't even want to approach him (at least it seemed like that). And when we have to leave storytime, he throws the biggest temper tandrum. When my parents or grandparents come over, and my son doesn't want to talk, he will just grumble at them and run away or lay down and pout.

He really is a great kid and I enjoy being a stay at home mom! My mom thinks he is perfect and doesn't think there is anything wrong with him, but I am just worried I should be doing something different about his excessive whining. I only want the best for him!
