Hello,

I tried to find this topic already posted, but there is WAY too many posts to go though. Hopefully I did not miss the post, and hopefully it has not been talked about too much.

We have 12 month old daughter who is VERY active (I mean VERY, she doesn't stop moving even in her sleep or while eating). She loves to explore, climb on anything and everything she can, she cruises very well. However... She will not focus on anything. She has no desire to look at colors, no desire to put blocks in a shape sorter, no desire to play with sounds (she makes sounds, but does not put sounds together). She will not sit quietly for us to read her a book, in short she has no interest in doing anything expect crawling around and learning at her own pace, and only the things she cares about.

Do we just let her go at her own course? Do we try and force her to sit still? We have no idea where she is at mentally since she is always off in her own little world. I know she is thinking, and learning b/c she knows to drop a pillow from the bed on the floor before climbing/controlled falling on the floor, and other problem solving solutions such as that.
