Default Having second child and scared

    Hello:

I was hoping to get some advice from fathers who had multiple children. MY wife is pregnant with our 2nd child, and she is due in a couple of months. I am afraid that I wont like having a second child. I love my first child very much, but had a hard time adjusting to the baby stage, the sacrifice of time and personal fun, etc. I eventually got over it. But for some reason, I am very scared that I wont be happy when the second child comes. I never felt this way with the first child. Im hoping that once I see my second son, that those fears will go away. Did anyone ever experience this with the second child, and if so, did it get better at any point? Thank you.

My wife had our second child about 6 weeks ago, and so far, I'm finding it easier to dive into 'the baby stage'. My wife is a stay at home mom, and knowing that she is taking are of the infant and the 3 1/2 year old all day, has made it easier for me to help out with Diaper changes, nursings (burpings), etc over night.

I think you will find it a joy to have a second child... at least I have.

To let a disclaimer, I am the husband of this account owner.

I just had my second daughter about 2 months ago. I will agree with daddy_x2, it is easier to jump in because you "know it". I will also say, the "love" will be different, it just is. You will love them both, but it is just different. Not worse or better, just in different ways.

Both are my treasures and Love both my children. My wife is a stay at home mom too and it will make your marriage stronger.

    Blessings.

We are planning for our second baby as well, but I do not worry about it. Instead, I'm excited. We planned to have 2 kids only. Our first one is girl, and I'm not sure the second... we hope it's boy. Our daughter is 4 years old now, and I guess bringing the second one into our family is a perfect time.
