Hi Everyone! This is my first post so hope I am doing it right.

My daughter just began the fourth grade. We spent last year going through all types of testing due to her struggles in school. She was finally diagnosed with a mild form of Inattentive ADD. The comment we receive from her teachers regularly is 'she looks like she is paying attention, but if you ask her about the lesson right after it is complete, you will realize she didn't absorb any of it.' We have started her on 20 MG of Methylphenidate ER (generic for Ritalin LA) a week ago. So far my daughter is complaining of dizziness, upset stomach and sweating. She has also had a very negative attitude all week.

My question is, does anyone else have experience with this medication and it's symptoms? Will this continue? Have you tried other medications for the same disorder and had success? We have her next Dr. Appt. September 12th and it will ultimately be up to them, but I would like some real life feedback on what others experiences are.
