    Default Stay At Home Dad

So, my fiancee makes considerably more than me while working fewer hours, which, among other factors, makes me the best candidate for stay at home parent (since childcare costs in order for me to keep working in my current jobs would negate my income). That decision has been the easy part compared to finding support/resources for stay at home dads. I'm looking for online groups, in person support, or even just playgroups that aren't focused on moms, because I want to make sure I head off some of the upcoming isolation as soon as possible and like to be prepared. I can't find any such groups on meetup, facebook, through googling, etc (at least none that are active) and I've found nothing dad-centric STATEWIDE (I'm a maine resident) any suggestions for even where else to look would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I wish I could stay home. I'm working on a plan to try and move to 1/2 time in the next 5 years while earning same income. Gonna be lots of work. It does start with my fantasy football site - and also trying to convince my wife. I gotta start making some money so I can convince her - would kill to be around more for my kids!

Being around for the kids is pretty awesome... though I didn't think it was going to be so great at first. For me, it took awhile to get into a routine, but once I did, I have days where I feel like super dad. Of course, I also have plenty of days full of frustrations with having 2 young ones. Particularly when I'm trying to work and hit a deadline but the kids are having one of those days when they're constantly going at each other. Yeeesh.
