Default what do you do when you're sick?

I am getting over a horrible, I-feel-like-I'm-dying illness, and I find this is the kind of sick I get since being a single mom. I wonder if it has to do with not allowing ourselves to be sick, so that when we do it's knock-down-drag-out nastiness... Anyway, wondering what you all do, since most of us are the be-all end-all for our kids.

In my particular case, my parents live in NC, the boy's dad is pretty much out of the picture because he lives in NY (we live in MI). I have called a babysitter over to watch the boy while I rest, but this time, our regular babysitter was out of town.

Do you have a plan of attack for when you get too sick to do anything or do you just wing it, and hope it doesn't last too long??

What I do??? Grin and bear it. (Fortunately, I'm not sick often.) What SHOULD I do? Probably, call over a neighbor, call a neighbor for a substitute sitter, or something similar. You can't be a good mom when you are ill, and you also don't want to get your little man sick.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Take care of yourself. It's the best thing you can do for your child.
