Hi Vawna. You asked for any tips on being a good mom... well I have a 9 year old son, and 8 weeks pregnant with #2. I will say that to be a good mom, don't do everything for your child, as mommy you want too. But they need independance. This is a hard lesson to learn and one that I constantly learn everyday. Also, read, read, read to your child. This is so underated but so very very important. It will help so much when they are in school. This is the last longest 9 months of your life. Enjoy it. Once baby comes you start the count down, one day old, to one week, to one month, to one year and so one. You never count time away as your baby grows up. When angry with them, breathe. It isnt the end of the earth if they cant ride a 2 wheelere on the first try. It is only riding a bike. Love you baby, hug them, cuddle them and never forget to tell them how much you love them.

Hi I'm new to this site. I found out before Christmas that I am pregnant (age 36, 1st child) and the doctor says I'm due July 19th. I'm still trying to grasp that I'm pregnant and I am totally scared -- is that normal? Everyone is excited but then they stop and wonder if I'm happy....I just don't know how I feel -- is this normal? Don't get me wrong, I love children but now I'm so scared to know I'm goin to have my own.
