    Unhappy Birthday Blues

Today is my birthday. I am a middle child, my birthday is always around Thanksgiving (obviously) and has been forgotten on more than one occasion.

Okay, I'm a grown woman and have had plenty of birthdays. I hate my birthday. I say it every year: I'm not going to expect anything that way I won't be disappointed. But there's always a tiny part of me that still hopes for something nice. I can't help it. Is it so wrong or selfish of me to want a happy birthday???

I think I may just take matters into my own hands... get a babysitter and go get a pedicure or a facial or something!

I feel you Spin Mom my bday is November 27th so this year its on Thanksgiving. I ALWAYS treat myself to a spa day for my B-day! We don't have much money and I always get shoppers guilt whenever I spend money on myself. Even if its something technically necessary like recently when I bought myself 2 maternity sweaters at $15 a peice. I felt so guilty - but its not like I can walk around naked - I needed those sweaters. My birthday is a time for me to not feel guilty. I don't go crazy I try not to spend more than $120. This year I'll be going to the massage school for my massage $45 for an Hour Maternity massage! The skin care school for my facial $25 for an hour and using the rest to get a hair trim and wax. And I will have no guilt!
