Question Does This Kid Have a Point?

I found this video on youtube the other day, and I've showed it to a few of my friends with mixed responses. One of them, a mom of a 5th grader started breaking down in tears, as she really could connect with the message. However, another friend, a mom of a toddler, suggested it was just a rant. Is it a work of art or just ramblings? Tell me what you think, or ask your friends what they think:

I agree with him. He has a great point.
We become our kids adversary we don't teach them to make good choices and trust them we make choices for them and bind them. So many kids go 'wild' because they aren't given the opportunity to make their own choices, even simple ones, what to wear, what to eat, what NOT to eat, whether they go with dad to the store or stay home with mom, what book to read, or subject to study, when to go to bed. All these minor decisions are made for them to the point that by the time they get to make that choice they will simply do the exact opposite their parent did just because the decision was THEIRS though even then the decision wasn't theirs, it was reactionary caused by their parents therefore not theirs.
Anyway, I agree, to be respected we must respect, to be trusted you must trust, to make good decisions you must give opportunity to practice.
