Default Our favourite new children's books

    Hey everyone!

I'm new to the forum but I loved reading through all the posts so I thought it would be nice to contribute

I'm always in search of new books for my 2 sons and daughter who love reading and I want to make sure they're reading the right things. Does anyone have any suggestions on good children's books that are just out now?

To start us off, here are a few of my kids favourite ones so far:
    The Adventures of Travelling Piglet
    Diary of a wimpy kid
    The mysterious Benedict Society
    Hunger Games

    Hello there!

Great list you have there, my 8 year-old daughter and 6 year-old son especially loved The Adventures of Travelling Piglet, the first two books of the series have just come out, we read them together every night at bedtime! It is such an adorable story of a little piglet and his adventures, beautifully written and has really subtle moral messages that make it such a positive read before bed

I would also add, Big Nate is another one which my son especially enjoyed too!

Ps: I'm new around here too!

All the best titles have been mentioned already! I just recently bought a Kindle for my kids, such a great way to keep them reading!

I would just add The Magic Thief to the mix, the new series, as my daughter is a big fan at the moment.

    Great idea for a thread!

I have a kindle as well and I'm absolutely fascinated by The Adventures of Travelling Piglet series. My children love the stories and they keep asking me to check if the next books are out yet.

Simon, I have the same issue! My kids - I have one 8 year old daughter and a 7 year old son - are both confident readers now, and finding new books for them to read is becoming a struggle. The problem at the moment is the variety really, Big Nate and Diary of a Whimpy Kid were both great, but both the same style really, so I noticed my children grew bored of it after a while... I was happy to fall upon The Adventures of Travelling Piglet and The Magic Thief series recently, both of which are different to what we normally find out there for kids at the moment. Highly recommended!

My son enjoyed Big Nate too, but I know what you mean... after a while he just wasn't as interested anymore. What has got all out little ones excited recently are 'the adventures of travelling piglet'. There must be more out soon, right?

Guys I'm looking for that book you've been talking about... The adventures of travelling piglet... I can't seem to find it anywhere. Where can I buy it?
