    Default Kegel & pain

Ok, so I'm aware that I have to do those kegels, but before some month I think, I felt pain while practicing it, so I had to stop. These days I tried again and nothing changed!!! Pantyliners are the must that's one for sure, but I'm afraid if this continuous and I can't do Kegels what will happen after the baby is born!!!?

    Did anyone experienced something similar?

I've never experienced pain doing them. How are you doing the kegels? I find the easiest way for me is to stop the flow of pee when going to the bathroom and hold it for about 10 sec. I try to do this about 2 times each time I have to pee.

First I tried while sitting on the toilet (to learn which muscles are that at all), later I started while laying in the bed. Well... the day gets long sometimes! Do you think it is possible that I'm doing that somehow wrong? Maybe I should try it again only while sitting on the toilet... ?

I don't know. Maybe it just has to do with the position you are in. I would try again on the toilet and see if you experience any pain that way then go from there.

I agree with gostomski...try a different position and see if that helps. Maybe try when you are driving/riding in a car. I didn't do kegels when I was pregnant, and boy did I regret it. I ended up with a prolapsed bladder after my son was born. (Basically your muscles aren't strong enough to hold your bladder up where it should be so it kind of hangs down and presses on your uterus.) Anyway I ended up having to do 10 reps of kegels 3-4 times a day everyday, and luckily my muscles stengthened back up. If they hadn't I would have had to have surgery.

Thnx for the advice, I tried it again, this time on the toilet and it isn't so bad. Couldn't believe how shorter is the time I can hold it on then before one month!!!
