So I was getting gas yesterday and the attendent whom we'll refer to as being some form of Middle Eastern decent. Says to me in a very strong accent. You married? I say, "yes" he says, "you having a baby?" I say "yes" he says. "good, good" Is it a black one or a white one? ( I was like WHAT?!!!) but I replied, "a white one" and I'm secretly feeling thankful because if my child was biracial I'd be PISSED at this question. I'm still waiting for my tank to fill up and he continues on,"good many girls here they like the black man" he says. "very pretty girls I see, always with the black man" at this point I'm feeling real uncomfortable and just waiting for my gas to be done then he says it, the motherload of comments. He shakes his head and says, ... "I don't know maybe they like THE BIG ONE." !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must have turned ten shades of red. I have to admit although I don't appreciate the rascim implied in any form I laughed my head off as I drove away thinking of him saying "... the big one"

UGH!!! That's terrible. I would have answered and reacted just like you... but would have run scenarios in my head afterward to humor myself to bring me back... come up with some really rediculous responses to those questions. I'd get a laugh and bring myself back to normal.

OMG! lol, what a bad one. It made me laugh though. We have many many people like that here; we call them "fresh people." Complete strangers that think its ok to talk about weiners...lol

I really needed that laugh, Brandie...thank you. Yeah, I think it's so unbelievable what complete strangers think is appropriate to say! I am severely overweight and people come up to me all the time asking what diet I'm on and telling me that I have such a pretty face, if only my body matched it. WTF right?

Oh thats aweful. You could have a medical condition. Not all overweight people are that way because they need to diet. It must be hard for you to fight the temptation to punch them in the mouth!
