    Unhappy Campaign Callers Harassing Family

Ok I just wanted to take a minute to vent... it is 850pm on a Sunday and a campaign caller decided that this was a good time to call me to find out who I'm voting for. I about went ballistic on this guy. My biggest frusteration right now is they call ALL the time. I have had no less than 6 calls alone today. Also, people coming by my house all hours of the day to find out if and who I'm voting for. I have a large "No Soliciting" sign on my front door. I don't care if they are exempt from the do not call registry... but seriously I put this stuff up because I don't want to be disturbed.
I am so upset by this right now. I almost regret being a registered voter. I'm on the brink of not voting. I do not need to be harassed about voting. Yet they don't seem to understand that. UGH!

I know! It's getting out of hand! We even had someone come by the house to get us to vote! (we already did) But it was in the middle of naptime and my dogs were barking for forever. I was so upset! I just want this election to finally be over!

That's why I didn't list my number and why I love caller ID

This is why we bought a phone with a do not disturb function. When the baby's napping I turn it on and the screen on the handset flashes instead of ringing audibly - and my entire family knows I use it so they leave brief messages to call back on the answering machine. Thank goodness we live in the boonies and I've only had a couple of visits by local politicians - back during the primaries and nothing since.

Nothing aggravated me more than being up all night with a teething baby, fighting for two hours to get DS down for a nap and having a solicitor (political or otherwise) call or knock (setting off dogs) waking him so he can continue his sleepless crankiness -- making me want to cry right along with him.

I am so sick of the phone calls. My grandmother is in very poor health. I am dreading that phone call. Everytime it rings my heart stops; then I check the caller ID, and it's just Senater McCain, again. Then they leave a message on the answering machine. This is just a little bit ridiculous. All of the calls are killing me; my poor heart can't take it.

You would think there is something we could do about this. It should be illegal to solicate votes. Its nobody's business but my mine who I vote for.

We've gotten calls as late as 10-11pm!!! We haven't even answered the phone this past week, we just let it go to a message. Then they leave long messages! We live with my inlaws in a gated community so maybe thats why we haven't gotten any knocks on the door. I would be furious. Last week or so the A/C guys came and right when my son went to sleep. They were talking on their cell phones so loud it woke up my son. Nice job guys. So I feel your pain craftyashley!

I don't think the voting registration information should be made available to any of the campaigns. I heard on the news that each campaign (even the local campaigns) get daily updates on who has voted in early voting yet or not. The people who haven't go on a list that they call non-stop! It's completely wrong.
