Smile Best Learn-to-Read App-- Reading Raven!

A dad friend of mine has created a fun and engaging iPad app called Reading Raven. It contains hundreds of reading and learning activities grouped in five lessons, where kids encounter fly-eating frogs, ball-balancing seals, sea creatures, snow monsters, flying penguins, rhyming rockets, and more. These lessons can take kids all the way from basic pre-reading skills to reading sentences. It is self-paced and can be customized to each child's age or learning level, so they can focus on the lessons they find most useful and engaging. My six year old is learning to read in kindergarten and loves that the activities in Reading Raven remind him of what he learns in the classroom. (I love that he's practicing these skills without the complaints that often come from doing "homework"!) My three year old, on the other hand, is just learning his letters and gets a kick out of making them move across the screen (while he's having fun, he is learning the sounds they make). And it's the most fun to see them play with it together! For both, Reading Raven is entertaining and educational-- a winning combination for any kid experience!

Check out readingraven.com for more info.

    Happy Reading!

I've been using stories on Android store to help my child learn to read. Some are really good but others need work.
