Default Latex Allergy Concerns. Please HELP!

My son is 3 1/2 and still isn't potty trained. He just doesn't seem to care at all. He is also allergic to latex and I have been unable to find any underpants other than the Gerber training pants that will work for him. Does anyone know of anyplace to buy colorful latex free toddler underpants? I'm going nuts!

you could try www.diapers.com or even search for training pants on www.amazon.com. i have had good luck with both sites. also, i think that diapers.com is offering a special for first time orders. there are tons of environmentally friendly and naturally made products out there these days, you should deffinitely be able to find something that works for your sons latex allergy.
as far as him not caring when it comes to being potty trained, what methods are you using? is he able to go potty in his potty chair when he feels like it? when he goes in his diaper, does he tell you he needs to be changed right away, or not at all? anyone will tell you that consistency is the key.. work with him eveyday and stay patient. if you get frustrated and he sees it, he most likely will feel like he is doing something wrong, or upsetting you. that can cause him to plateau, or take steps backward and not show a positive interest in potty training. my daughter is 3 years old and her doctor said that as long as kids show a knowledge of using the potty, and know the difference between going in a diaper, and going potty in the toilet, theyre on the right track. as bad as you want to teach them, they have to be ready to be taught, as well.
just keep at it, and if it turns out to truly be an issue or a fight, you might want to have him evaluated to see if there is something preventing him from wanting to potty train. my guess though is that he just needs more time.
    good luck!!
