My daughter is twelve months old. She sleeps in her crib in our room . My boyfriend snores and it's starting to wake her up at night . She wakes at 3am and 6 am ( 6am is when he goes to work ) . I'm ready to move her into her room, right next to ours, with the baby monitor in our room so I can hear her, but i'm scared.
Scared of covers getting in her face, scared of when she wakes up and looks for mommy and daddy's bed and it's not there, and scared of her in another room.
How do I go about this the right way where she isn't scared and I'm not up all night checking on her?
This has to happen soon! I have baby number two coming November 19th!
Lay down on the floor next to her bed until she falls asleep. Each night move closer to the door until your not in the room anymore. It will help you both get used to her sleeping in her own room. Be assured that she will be fine, she is 1yo now and perfectly able to move and pull the blankets it she needs to. With the moniter in your room you will probably sleep fine because you know you will be able to hear if she so much as snores.

I'd do the cold turkey thing. Put the crib in the other room and see if she reacts. She may just like the peace and quiet.
A lot of the concerns and fears we have as adults don't exist in the fresh world of baby, they read off our cues and are very sensitive to our emotions. If you are confident in the decision to move your child's crib, she will fallow suit. As for the concern of suffocation, remember the human race perpetuated and flourished long before the knowledge we have now of all the dangers they face every night. It is a leap of faith. Try not to show her you are scared.
So I did it . I Moved the crib and for the past three nights she has been sleeping fine. She wakes up one time a night and waits at the end of the crib when mommy quickly comes around the corner to put her back to sleep. Everyone is getting more sleep . Thanks for the help . One project down, millions to go lol.
