I know all about the bedrest. I was on bedrest for 3 weeks at the end of my first trimester and I have now been on bedrest again for the past month and a half. It absolutely sucks. I have probably seen every Baby Story, Birth Day, Jon and Kate Plus 8 etc. I am 38 weeks though now so hopefully this will all be over soon. Good luck to you! The only thing I can say is relax and know that it is for a good cause.

Crafts is a great suggestion! Look online for different crafts you can order - learn to knit or crochet maybe.

I went on a ton of shopping sprees while on bedrest. I was so bored that I would go shopping online at least twice a week. I had more maternity clothes than any pregnant woman should have, especially one on bed rest. I made it a point to shower and do hair/makeup every day, it just made me feel better! A friend at church was pregnant with her 6th shortly after I had DD, so I gave her all my maternity clothes - she was shocked.

No one in my family ever had to do bedrest either. It was totally unexpected for it to happen. I had major complications with my first pregnancy, so I had to have a cervical cerclage (stitch around cervix opening to keep it closed) at 14wks into our 2nd pregnancy. I didn't know that meant strict bedrest until I was being wheeled into the OR for the cerclage. At least I'll know ahead of time next go around!

Our little one stayed in until 39 weeks - 2 days shy of 40 weeks. So yes, even though I started dialating at 7 months, the bedrest, medicine, and cerclage kept it from progressing. Even with the dialating, I didn't have true contractions until 37 weeks although I did have Braxton Hicks the entire pregnancy. Those are not fun! I was so worried every single time I had a BH.

We will all tell you not to worry, but its impossible not to worry. You can make it, and soon you'll be holding your little precious. These days that seem so long and worry filled will soon seem like a distant memory and not so bad. Enjoy your time - honestly. Once that baby is there, you will not have the opportunity for much laying around and worrying, you'll wish you could have some alone time again! LOL. Sleep A LOT! Hehehehehehe.

Oh...I totaly hear you!!!! I have been on bedrest since week 11. I am now at week 20 and I can't stand it. I don't think there is anything I can say to make you feel better because it stinks! I just want to have my baby. I have crocheted 2 blankets, watched every episode of bringing home baby and a baby story, and read every Jane Austen book there is.

People just keep telling me that it will be worth it in the end. Its just so hard to see that far.

Just know, you're not alone. I sympathize with you!

Here in my country the online purchase isn't developed at all, so that's the one thing I can only browse... well, it kind of can satisfy or make me mad because i would like to purchase something. lol

Concerning maternity clothes still i don't have one piece, really didn't needed it, till now?? lol Yesterday was our 3rd anniversary and my hubby was taking me to dinner, so i had to look for something nice to wear, and i could find only ONE skirt where i could get in with my baby together! I suppose it means or i will buy something or keep wearing my hubby's stuffs! lol

I'm wondering, how can you really now if contractions are BH or not? I read about it something, they say it shouldn't be painful. ??? All i had till now were painful.. or i don't know to make a difference between baby's movements and BH??

Hm... once baby is here... i got it, i won't have any time, but from the other side, isn't she sleeping all the time, well, almost, when she's little? That's the last "smart" thing i heard about how much time will I have, although i don't believe at all since there's the house...

And where is that user control panel, I don't see it anywhere!!! All i found is the option to put my pic...

Thnx Believe me, I feel much better just when I now that there are ladies who understand all this stuff! And sure counting the days till due or at least when i can walk again as much as I want! Finally starting to like my all the way bigger tummy and to be proud of it, so now I really wouldn't mind to walk with it down the street and let everyone see it that it actually, yup, gets bigger! lol

When I was prego with my 2nd son I was put on bed rest at 18 weeks and then when I turned 22 weeks they put me in the hospital, 2 hours away from home. It sucked!! I ended up staying at that hospital until my son was born, he came at 34 weeks. Now that I am prego again and being high risk it sucks. What keeps me going is the fact that at least I am on bed rest at home and not in the hospital yet. I like to do crossword puzzles and of course play on the computer, but I know what you are going thur and I wish I could make you feel better. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! and remember that you are over 1/2 way there. You will be in my prayers.

I was kind of avoiding thoughts about the possibility of the hospital, brrr... the hospital in this city old and looking awful, unlike the one where I'm hoping to get before the baby decides to meet us! I'm taking the medicine which most of the woman does who stays in the hospital.. but still huh, now I'm really thankful for seeing that building every evening while we go in a small walk and not seeing my home form the window of some room in the H (it's really so close)!
Thanks, you really brightened my day!
I wish you all the best with this little one!

Braxton Hicks will feel very much like real contractions, with the main difference being that BH contractions don't increase in intensity, should not (but can) happen continuously, and the frequency will not get closer or regular. If you notice one, check the time so you will know the spacing if another one follows it. You should be doing that with any and all 'cramps' / contractions. I had continuous braxton hicks for months and months, it about drove me crazy. Dr made me monitor them very closely. Labor contractions were only different to me because the intensity steadily increased over a 10 hour period, but they never got closer than 5 minutes.

It can be tough to tell. If you are EVER overly concerned, do not hesitate to go see your dr at once. Do not convince yourself you're overreacting or don't want to bother them. That is what they are there for!!

    How was your anniversary dinner??!!
