Default Bottle Feeding!!

I am trying to prepare for my triplets arrival. Assuming they're going to be born around 34 weeks (fingers crossed!!!), what type of bottle will they require? Is there a special type that is better for preemies? I plan on breast and bottle and I used Avent with my daughter and was really satisfied with them, but will they also work for my triplets? Any suggestions?

My twins were 36 wks and very healthy. They used the Dr. Browns and Second Nature bottles just fine. Are there bottles specifically designed for preemies? I've never heard of them.

I know Dr. Brown's makes a 2 oz. preemie bottle with a preemie nipple. I've heard that these are great b/c there's no problem with a transition between preemie nipples and regular. Thanks though! I think I'm probably over thinking things.

Oh yeah, I used the 2 oz. bottles! I just didn't know they were preemie! Ha! It's only been two years, but seems like an eternity.

First off Congrats on your Triplets. I could not imagine. Just having two is two fulltime jobs for me! Bless you!

And we started out using the Soothie bottles and Playtex Ventaire. But our babies would be so fussy. So someone told us about the Dr Browns and it made a WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE. I would definitely recommend Dr Browns! They are no where near as fussy as they were before.

I would go with Dr. Brown's 4oz bottles and try to find the preemie nipples. A 2 oz bottle will not last you very long into your 1st year. I cannot imagine having triplets! I had my twins less than a year after having my second boy and holy cow! You will do great though, because my experience is nothing to compare to yours! You will get so tired of hearing that stuff!! Good luck!

Congrats! I have 3 year old triplets.
I would not buy to much of anything yet. When we got out of the NICU they sent home with us a ton of the bottles they use there so I had all the small bottles I needed. Then we used the Dr Brown bottles. They are extra work cleaning and putting together. But mine never had colic, happy baby's are worth the extra work!
As for the preemie bottles they are just smaller. I had a few of the small bottles that we used for juice later on. But it was easier using the big bottles. They "outgrow" the small ones pretty quick!
I made it to 34w5d. GBB They spent 11 days in the NICU as feeders & growers!
Good Luck - You can do it!

I used born free and loved them. I also bought a couple of Bebe Bottle slings. They help when you're alone.
I hope this helps.
