Default 14 month old daughter REFUSES to sleep

My daughter is 14 months old and she hardly ever sleeps. She takes a single nap during
the day and that usually lasts about 2 hours, she then goes to bed anywhere from 8-10 at night
and for the past week now she has woke up anywhere from 1-3 whinning for no reason,
we have tried giving her a sippy cup, her passy, gas drops, even meds to help for pain,
when we finally get her to sleep she is only asleep until 6 and is up for the day so all in all she only
sleeps about 7 hours a sleep a day, her father and myself are running on very little sleep,
and I'm at a loss of what to do anymore, should I try to get rid of her nap during the day.
please I need some advice on what to do her dr wont give me any advice he just says its normal
but he also said it was normal for her not to poop for 3 weeks, so im not listening to him anymore.
    any help would help alot.

Your doctor's "advice" sounds a bit strange.

My son is going through a similar thing. It takes us AGES to get him to sleep. If we cut out his nap, he gets tired and irritable and starts pulling my wife towards the room so that she'll lie down with him. He's 17 months old and we're spending a couple of hours a night for the last month trying to get him to sleep. Additionally, he won't sleep in his crib and eventually, we just get exhausted and I have to be up early for work. It's easier to take him into the bed and just all sleep there.

Any chance your daughter is teething? Having bad dreams? Hungry?
