My friend made a trip to visit Natasha in the sanatorium on the outskirts of Moscow. Natasha proudly demonstrated her thicker arms and cheeks: she knows she has to gain some weight before the surgery. She is doing much better: she eats now almost everything on her plate. She's straightened up and even walks more proudly and gracefully. Natasha visits and feeds every day her new friend - a pony in a nearby barn. Natasha is reading much better now and studies letter "K" in the Russian ABC book (math is really her favorite subject). My friend, as a volunteer, was transporting another orphan to the sanatorium... Natasha was very kind to the new little boy. She took him by his arm and showed him everything she new around for hours. When Natasha and my friend were parting at the end of the day, Natasha quietly said -" I love you... I love you all." It came so suddenly that my friend fought back tears. She thought about Natasha going back to her orphanage...

Default My 19 month old has classic exstrophy

I have a 19 month old born with classic bladder exstrophy and epispadius. He is amazing and acts as though he has never had surgery. His surgeons are amazing and do such an great job with our son. He has developed normally and walked at 9 months, he is the happiest child and you would have no clue he was ever born with this by looking at him unless he was naked and you could see his scar! He has taken swim lessons since 11 months old and goes to toddler gymnastics twice a week. I am more than happy to lend support and give you as much info as you would like. This condition will not define you or your childrens lives, it is just a hurdle to get over and your life will be just as and normal and happy and blessed as anyone elses.
