My daughter is 21/2 and won't use a potty. we bought a potty chair and we have tried to put her on it and she strightens her legs and fights us. We tried letting her use the big potty too with and without the child size set in top and she still fights us.I am at my wits end and am looking for advice. She is not scared of the flushing noise in fact she loves to flush it if she can get in the bathroom with me to flush before I do. She has all the signs as a child ready to potty train she just won't do it. If you know anything that can help please let me know. My e-mail address is smdsmc@yahoo.com
My only advice would be to keep trying - don't force her, and make it exciting for her to go with you or even by herself. Offer her plenty of opportunity, and let nature take it's course. If she isn't willing to sit on the potty, she doesn't sound like she's ready yet regardless of any other signs.
Have you transitioned her to pull ups or real panties? I spent a week with my daughter at home in just panties, and that seemed to really help. We did pull ups for months leading up to that, and that worked well for her as well. I know a lot of people skip the pull ups entirely, but they worked for us.
