    Default Please help! Creativity needed!

    I really need some creative advice on names! My father raised me (his daughter) all by himself and it's very important to me that I somehow name my daughter after my dad. His name is James Lavon. I am having a really hard time thinking of female names that stem from his.
    So far I like Jaelyn as a girls name (letters from James Lavon made Jalon but I wanted more feminine spelling), Janae (using the combination of letters), or maybe Lavaughn or Lavonne just to spell it differently (but her father doesn't want to call her Lavaughn, that would have to be a middle name.) I really want a first name for her that comes from my dad & clearly I'm not that creative!
    Could anyone please help with suggestions whether it be from something that rhymes, sounds the same, uses combination of letters, etc?

    What about Jamie? That's actually a form of James, or derived from, I believe.
