    Default I'm 14 weeks pregnant and . . .

i am starting to get morning sickness more often. My doctor told me that i was suppose to look forward to the second trimester because morning sickness starts to decrease. Is this normal? Is there something i'm doing wrong? And my stomach has woke me up numerous times, and i've been known to wake up my fiance just to rub my tummy. Is there something i can do for my tummy without waking him up.

Sometimes morning sickness lasts longer than the first trimester (sorry). Keeping saltines by your bed may help, if you wake up try eating one or two slowly. I've heard this also helps in the morning, you eat them before you even get up out of bed to help settle the stomach. I hope this helps and you start feeling better, hang in there!

I had morning sickness in trimesters 1,2, and 3. It sucks. Morning sickness just sucks...but..it's nothing to be concerned about. It's just your body's way of letting you know that it isn't used to being pregnant yet, thus the vomit.

Congratulations, enjoy the pregnancy, it's really amazing <even if you don't know it yet>

<gostomskiart> Thank you, I have to start to wonder if my sleeping pattern is part of the problem, mostly because i don't have one!! plus i wake up in a panic because my fiance doesn't get up to his alarm clock!! and he needs me to wake him up and get his lunch ready and get his uniform ready!! it's like taking care of a nine year old!! haha!!

<jenn_0629> I AM SOO SORRY!! That scares me. I'm happy for you though, you seem really happy!! hopefully i'll be able to be that happy after all is said and done.

Once that beautiful baby is in your arms, you know it was all worth it. In the beginning, truthfully, I hated the whole pregnancy aspect of having a baby. I wish they were just born right after conception, immediately developed. I got sick so much and then I had horrific heartburn that made me vomit as well. And now, it is almost 3 months postpartum, and I miss it so much. Ofcourse, I have something even better now, but I miss the little karate-chops to my belly and imagining what he would be like. I even loved my labor, after he was out, I was like, "Yeah, so, I'm a pretty tough *****, huh?" And the doctor was like, "You are quite possibley one of the calmest people I have ever encountered after giving birth without the epidural."

I am 23 weeks and I think I was still sick at your point. I threw up at work, in the grocery store pretty much anywhere anytime the moment struck plus no matter if I had just went to the bathroom I would PEE on myself while puking! I hated being prego. Here were somethings that got me through. Learn to recognize the pattern. So many years of knowing that you shouldn't eat past 7 had me going to bed without being hungry but without putting something in my belly. If I ate a yogurt or some cheese or something around 11 I wouldn't wake and puke, also i would sleep through the night. Meat - couldn't see it smell it eat it anything or it would be over! Your sugar levels might be low - try eating something little every two hours. I hated saltines so I ate plain potato chips for breakfast. Dont beat yourself up about nutrition at this point. Take your prenatals and other than that eat whatever whenever as long as it stays down. My LIFESAVER a huge glass of 2% chocolate milk with ice in it to keep it very cold. Killed the nausea everytime! oh yeah and stay away from juice - its too acidic for your tummy right now.

I hope this helps. I was sick all day everyday until around 17 weeks. Save yourself the embarrassment wear pads and carry a plastic shopping bag with you!!

    Good luck!
