Default Daughter wants to potty train & I don't

My little girl has been trying to Potty train herself since she was 21 months old. She turns 2 next week. She constantly is telling me she needs to pee or poop and that she wants to go on the potty. She goes everytime, but she isn't consistent. She won't wear diapers, and only wants Pull-ups. She also likes to sit on the potty for 10 minutes just because it is fun.
Am I crazy to train her so young? What tricks do you use on a girl this young? I need courage. This is one of the aspects of Parenting that I dread. HELP!!

I think the potty chart would help you big time. Get poster board, write her name on th top, and a book of stickers. When she goes on the potty and only if she goes on the potty, let her put a sticker on the chart.

Not crazy, she is telling you she is ready, run with it!

She may not be consistent which is difficult, but the more you encourage her and help her to find success in using the potty the better she will do. I would suggest going straight to underwear during the day and pull-ups at night because she will be more aware of accidents.

My 2nd decided to potty train himself at 22 months and he has very few accidents (usually just when he isn't paying attention and sprays everywhere but the toilet!) But he does far better than my first already. Let her lead you.

Well if she is showing interest then that is great. Let her go when she has to. But never ever push her or she may regress when she is older.

Be grateful she is ready and willing to do so much of it on her own. You just need to change your mindset and this will be a blessing for you.
